Running a food & beverage business is hard. Whether you’re running a restaurant, or even just a booth selling Churros, the work is very real, and very long.

This is why you need to look to social media to create an uplift for your brand, by increasing awareness, followers, and raving fans. If you don’t take advantage of the time we’re living in now and use social media to its full potential, you are missing out on a huge opportunity for growth.

So if you’re just happy serving the local customers within a few block radius, and depend on word of mouth solely to get more patrons that are from outside the immediate area, then you are actually doing some traditional social marketing! What social media does for you is — it amplifies this traditional way of spreading the word, into limitless possibilities. Definitely read on, if you believe in the good old belief ‘provide good food and service, and the people will come’.

Nothing can save you if the food and service you provide sucks. In fact, if that is the case, implementing this strategy may very well backfire, causing you an immense blow on your reputation. So the very first step is to actually check that your food and service is great.

Let’s get into it now:

There are 5 content types that you should explore, and focus on, if you are running a restaurant or any kind of F&B business. They are: —

  1. video
  2. photos
  3. blog
  4. infographics
  5. minigraphics (coming soon)

Our advice is, if you have the resources, jump in all of them at once, because leveraging inter-platform content is beneficial in long run, and allows you to grow your brand faster. However if you don’t have the resources, it’s best to do one first then expand from there.

If you feel like this article is TL;DR (too long, didn’t read) – then check out our infographic that shows the summarised version here.
